I learned how to use the second year cameras today. It was a lot like the cameras we used in first year, but slightly more complex. It was a crash course in learning how to use it too, because as soon as that class was done, my classmate and I went off to shoot our assignment.
The assignment we shot went really well. We have a lot of good clips and some really good interviews. Our challenge of the day was figuring out how to get good audio, since we shot in a loud and crowded area.
I began writing the script for it today which was challenging, because it’s my first time doing one. I also made some phone calls to try to get information about the event, like how many years it’s been held and such, but nobody I talked to could answer me, which was frustrating. I’m looking forward to putting the clips together though and achieving the final product. I still have to figure out the angel I want to take on it but I do have a couple of ideas in mind.
